KOBFC 2027 Season Preparation Trials Early Registration and Community Football Update

5 min read

KOBFC is already preparing for a bigger 2027 season. The plan covers player pathways, Division 1 trials, girls football, senior teams, summer football, coaching, registration benefits, sponsorship, and community events.

The aim is clear. More players should have a place to develop, compete, improve, and enjoy football at the right level.

Division 1 trials will be held for U10 to U15 teams

KOBFC will run trials for Division 1 teams in the North West Sydney Football Association competition.

The trials are for:

  • U10 to U15 Mixed teams

  • U10 to U15 Girls teams

Trials will be held on Sunday 25 October.

Selected teams will receive a strong football program. Teams will be professionally coached and will train twice per week. KOBFC will use licensed, registered coaches only.

Training will begin as soon as teams are selected and filled, with early November planned as the starting point.

Players interested in trialling must complete the Expression of Interest form.

This is a key part of the club’s 2027 plan. It gives players a clear path into stronger match environments while staying connected to the KOBFC community.

For families looking at football NWSF CFA opportunities, this update shows how KOBFC is building options across both competitive and community football.

Early registration is now available

KOBFC is offering an early registration program for the 2027 season.

The early registration offer includes:

  • Discounted fees

  • Fees held at the same level as 2026

  • A KOBFC Sportspak

  • Extra off-season benefits

  • The option to register and pay now

  • The chance to use this year’s Active Kids voucher where eligible

Early registration helps the club plan teams, coaching, equipment, grounds, and competitions earlier. It also gives returning and new players more certainty before the season starts.

Players and families are encouraged to register early rather than wait until team placements begin. This matters for junior teams, girls teams, senior teams, and community football programs.

Girls U6 and U7 football will run on Saturdays

KOBFC will run Girls U6 and U7 football on Saturdays in 2027.

This is an important step for young players starting the game. The focus will be on enjoyment, confidence, basic skills, and team connection.

For many young players, U6 and U7 is the first season of organised football. A girls program gives players a comfortable entry point and helps build long-term participation.

The club wants young players to enjoy the ball, enjoy the team experience, and want to come back each week.

More senior teams are planned

KOBFC is planning for an increased number of senior teams in 2027.

This will give more players the chance to keep playing beyond junior football. It also helps the club build stronger links between younger players, older players, coaches, and volunteers.

Senior football remains an important part of the club. It gives former juniors a place to continue. It also gives parents, friends, and community members a way to stay involved on the field.

KOBFC will also continue its strong presence in the Churches Football Association, known as the CFA.

For those searching around NWSF CFA Carlingford football options, KOBFC’s 2027 plans include both association competition and community-based pathways.

Pre-season coaching will be available over summer

KOBFC will offer pre-season coaching for players who want to maintain or improve skills over summer.

This program is suitable for players who want to stay active before the main season begins. It can also help players prepare for trials, new age groups, or higher competition levels.

The focus will be on useful football habits:

  • First touch

  • Passing

  • Ball control

  • Movement

  • Fitness with the ball

  • Decision-making

  • Confidence in game situations

Summer coaching gives players more touches on the ball and helps them return to season training ready to go.

Westmead Twilight 4x4 Summer Soccer is open

KOBFC will be involved in Westmead Twilight 4x4 Summer Soccer.

Games will run on Thursday nights from 6.00 pm.

The program is available for:

  • U5 to U14 players

  • Mixed teams

  • Girls teams

  • O35 players

The format is 4-a-side. Teams play two games per night. Payment is made by team.

Teams need five players to register, but they can have more. Players do not need to belong to KOBFC.

This makes the program easy to join. A team can be made from school friends, club teammates, neighbours, or family friends.

Small-sided football is a good way to keep skills sharp. Players get more touches, more decisions, and more chances to score or defend.

KOBFC will work more closely with TKS football programs

KOBFC plans better integration with TKS football programs through TKS Football Club.

This should help create clearer links between school football, club football, player development, and community sport.

The aim is to make the football pathway easier to understand. Players should know where they can play, train, improve, and progress.

Stronger connection between programs also helps with coaching standards, communication, and planning.

The club will increase communication and social updates

KOBFC will increase its social media presence for the 2027 season.

This will help members stay up to date with trials, registration, team news, training, summer football, events, and club announcements.

Clear communication matters during the pre-season period. It helps players and families act on key dates and avoid missing registrations, trials, or team updates.

Sponsors and local businesses are invited to get involved

KOBFC is calling for members, families, and businesses interested in sponsorship packages.

Sponsorship helps support players, teams, equipment, coaching, and club activity. It also gives local businesses a direct connection to the football community.

More details will be shared with interested sponsors. Members who know a business that may want to support the club are encouraged to make contact with KOBFC.

AGM and Parramatta Mission service are planned

The KOBFC Annual General Meeting is planned for early November.

The AGM is an important club event. It helps set direction, confirm roles, review planning, and prepare for the next season.

KOBFC will also host a service at Parramatta Mission at the start of the 2027 season. More details will be announced closer to the date.

This service will be part of the club’s broader community connection as the season begins.

What happens next

KOBFC’s 2027 preparation is already active.

The main steps now are clear:

  • Complete the Division 1 trial EOI if trialling for U10 to U15 Mixed or Girls teams.

  • Register early for the 2027 season to access discounted fees and benefits.

  • Form or join a Westmead Twilight 4x4 Summer Soccer team.

  • Watch for updates on girls football, senior teams, pre-season coaching, sponsorship, the AGM, and the Parramatta Mission service.

KOBFC looks forward to seeing returning players, new players, families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters now and throughout Season 2027.
